Joannie Collins, former competitive dancer and choreographer, began sharing her love for dance at age 15 by serving as an student assistant and creating highly competitive routines for her local dance studio. She went on to perform and choreograph for a national television show as well as the Arizona Rattlers. At age 17, she toured Sydney, Australia with a dance company and performed at various locations. She taught for the most competitive dance studios in the state: Dance Connection Too, Dance Connection & Centrestage Dance Studio for 10 years prior to opening Bling Tour. Joannie launched Bling Tour out of a need to create a dance studio that not only shared the gift of dance, but created a strong community and family environment. In addition to her professional career as a dancer, instructor and choreographer, Joannie earned a Bachelor's Degree in Justice Studies (1999) and a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice (2003) both from ASU. She has been employed as the Chief Administrative Officer for the Arizona Bar Foundation for the past 17 years and focuses her efforts on encouraging schools to implement evidence based civic education programs. Joannie is married to Michael Collins, former professional baseball player (8 years) and current attorney with the Negrete Law Firm in Phoenix, AZ. She has three incredible children who are making their way in the world as awesome students, athletes and dancers. Joannie's vision is to contribute to positive and effective child development through both justice and dance.
